Dear Parents/Guardians:
I am taking this opportunity to introduce
myself. I am your child’s Spanish
teacher for the 2007-2008 school year. I
am really looking forward to working with all my students this year.
Homework is not just for kids! In order for me to get to know your child
better, I am assigning you some homework.
Please write an introduction letter to me about your child. There is no minimal/maximum length to your letter,
but please write it in your own handwriting as opposed to typing it. You may want to include any or all of the
following information:
Ø Attitude
toward school;
Ø Favorite/least
favorite subjects (and why);
Ø Activities
outside of school (sports, religion, etc.);
Ø Personality
characteristics;
Ø Academic
concerns that you may have;
Ø His/her
interests;
Ø Medical
concerns (asthma, bladder problems, allergies, etc.);
Ø Reason
for taking Spanish;
Ø Anything
else that you feel I should know;
I know that your time is valuable, but no one else
knows your child better than you. This
letter will provide me with extremely helpful information and insight as I work
with your child this year. It will be
helpful for me to receive your letter as soon as possible, so I would like you
to return it by Tuesday, September 11.
This letter will count as your child’s first quiz grade (a very easy
grade, I must admit).
Additionally, please include with your letter the signed classroom rules
sheet, as that will count as a homework grade.
I am looking forward to learning more about your
child. I am sure that you have lots to
say!
