purpose of the Long Island Chapter, is to increase interest in the study of
Spanish and Portuguese; to keep teachers informed of current trends in second
language acquisition, meetings, and relevant cultural events; to promote
friendship and professional growth among teachers of Spanish and Portuguese
at all levels of instruction; and to provide opportunities for members to
communicate with native speakers. To that end, these pages are
specifically designed for students, teachers, and all persons interested in
